East Texas Adirondack Tête-à-têteImportant! Do not mix contents of the two chair boxes. Each chair unit has been preassembled and test fitted before packing to insure proper assembly. Fig. 1 shows the completed frame after following steps 1 - 4.
1) Assemble both chair units as per enclosed East Texas Adirondack Chair assembly instructions. For ease of assembly, the metal chair parts should be assembled but set aside until final assembly of frame is complete. 2) Set both completed chair frames on smooth and level surface on their feet (See Fig. 2). Notice three predrilled pilot holes on one front leg of each chair (Fig. 3). Insure legs with these pilot holes face each other to accept Front Apron Cross Member. 4) Set Strong Back into frame (Fig 4). Insure edge with “Top” mark is facing up. Install four (4) ¼” x 2-1/2” Flat Head Screws. Insure screws enter from backside of Chair Support Cross Member so that screw head seats flush in chamber. Secure Strong Back with four (4) ¼ flat washers and four (4) ¼” nuts. Do not over tighten. 3) Locate Front Apron Cross Member, pocket screws and driver (Fig. 5). Install Cross Member in like manner as performed during Chair Assembly. (Fig. 6). Tighten all screws.
4) Install Table and insure “Rear” mark is toward back of frame. Align Table in opening with approximately equal space on both sides. Insure Table is down tight against both Front Apron and Strong Back with no gaps. Fasten with four (4) #8 x 1/1/2” wood screws in predrilled pilot hole located inside table frame (See Fig. 7). 5) Install metal seats and backs as per Chair Assembly Instructions. This completes the Tête-à-tête assembly.
